Abstract
Sodium alginate (ALG)carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) blend fiber with excellent hygroscopicity and good mechanical properties was prepared by extruding ALGCMC blend solution into calcium chloride solution. Influences of spinning process parameters and absorbing condition on the moisture absorption performance of ALGCMC blend fiber were studied in this article, and the best spinning parameters and the moisture absorbing properties of ALGCMC blend fiber were found by using the centrifugal dewatering method. The absorbing kinetic curve of ALGCMC blend fiber was obtained according to the experimental results.
