Abstract
A one-step green synthetic route to prepare CdSe-polyurethane(CdSe-PU) nanocomposites with luminescence was successfully established using natural products, castor oil and its corresponding acid, ricinoleic acid. Firstly, cadmium selenide (CdSe) nanocrystallines were prepared by single selenium (Se) dissolved in castor oil reacting with cadmium oxide (CdO) with ricinoleic acid as ligand under N2 protection. And then the polyurethane prepolymer which was synthesized with polypropylene glycol 2000 and isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) was added for further cross-linked copolymerization. Finally, the film of CdSe-PU nanocomposites with luminescence was obtained after cured in a mold. The structure and properties of CdSe nanocrystallines and CdSe-PU nanocomposites were characterized by UV-Vis, PL, FT-IR, TGA, TEM. Results showed that the CdSe nanocrystallines had good morphology and fluorescence, which dispersed well ana maintained as well in PU nanocomposites. The heat resistance of CdSe-PU nanocomposites was improved.
