Synthesis, Antibacterial Activity and Interaction with Bovine Serum Albumin of ChitosanRare Earth Complexes

Water-soluble complexes of chitosanrare earth with La3+、Nd3+ were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR and UV-Vis spectra. The antibacterial activities and interaction with BSA of chitosan and chitosanrare earth complexes against E.coli, St.aureus and A.niger were investigated. Results show that the antibacterial activities of chitosan-rare earth complex obviously enhance comparing to the watersoluble chitosan，and regularly quench the inherent fluorescence of BSA.
