Abstract
The natural hydrogel elastomers in the presence or absence of direct current electric-field are prepared to mixing guar gum and gelatin directly(A-gel for the elastomer in the presence of direct current electric field, B-gel for the elastomer without electric-field). Dynamic viscoelastic spectrometer is used to investigate the storage modulus. The electric-field response properties of the elastomer as a function of both guar gum and gelatin concentration under various electric-fields are discussed. Results demonstrate that the storage modulus of A-gel (GA) or B-gel (GB) continuously increases with the increasing of guar gum and gelatin concentration. In addition, GA is lower than GB, and GA reduces with the increasing of electric-field, which means the negative electric field response. And the absolute value of the increment sensitivity increase with the increasing of electric-field.
