Abstract
Waterborne polyurethane fluorescent (FWPU) materials with different soft segments and chain extenders were synthesized through blending or grafting 4-amine-4′-(N,N-diphenyl-amino)-1,2-stilbene (ADAS) which dissolved in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy was used to characterize the structure of FWPU, and fluorescence spectroscopy was used to analyze the fluorescence properties. Results showed that the soft segment and the chain extender structure affected the fluorescence intensity of FWPU. The fluorescence intensity increased by up to 76 times through blending, 47 times through grafting when compared with the same concentration of ADAS dissolved in DMF.
