Biological Evaluation of Spin Coated PLA Based Polyester Composite Films

    • Two-dimensional cell culture is performed using spin coated PLA,PLCL,PLA-HA and PLCL-HA membranes as functional bone tissue engineering scaffold for guided tissue regeneration matrices and the MC3T3-E1 subclone 14 pre-osteoblasts as seed cells. The effect of different matrices on cell adhesion, proliferation and mineralization is studied using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5-(3-carboxymethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium, inner salt (MTS) assay and FDA staining method. Cell morphology is observed with optical microscope and fluorescence microscope. Results show that HA is positive for cell adhesion and cell proliferation. The spin coated membranes show better stability in the late period of proliferation and mineralization.
