Abstract
Bamboo pulp fiber (BPF), as a kind of biological fiber, had good biodegradability. The non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of BPF reinforced poly (butylenes succinate) (PBS) were studied using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and Liu equation was used to determine the non-isothermal crystallization kinetic parameters of BPF-PBS bio-composite. Results show that Liu equation can well describe the non-isotheral crystallization process of BPF-PBS bio-composite. The crystallization rate increases significantly with the increase of cooling rate. The higher content of BPF used in the BPF-PBS bio-composite lead to higher crystallinity and crystallization temperature, but lower crystallization rate. Besides, the alkali treated BPF could result in higher crystallinity.
