Abstract
A new kind of zirconium-acetylene hybrid resin was synthesized from trichloroethylene, phenylacetylene and zirconium tetrachloride using organolithium method. The structures of resin were characterized by FT-IR and 1H-NMR. Thermal curing process was monitored by DSC and FT-IR. Thermal and oxidative properties were evaluated by TGA analysis. Results showed the PZA resin can cure. The cured PZA resins had good thermal stability, the temperature of 10% mass loss (Td10) under nitrogen was up to 500 °C and the residual at 1 000 °C was 80%. α-ZrO2-containing ceramic was obtained after sintering at 1 000 °C.
