Properties of PP-Maifanite Functional Fiber

Feature, orientation factor, creep, absorption and anti-bacterial rates were characterized and tested by FE-SEM, sonic velocity method, creep test, aniline adsorption and oscillation flask method to study the performance of PP-Maifanite functional fiber.Results show that polypropylene and maifanite are mosaic structure. Some micro-folds exist on the surface of PP-Maifanite functional fiber. Young's modulus and orientation factor of PP-Maifanite functional fiber are lower than pure PP, creep is obvious. Adsorption rate of aniline is about 30%, antibacterial rate is about 90% or above, the antibacterial properties change little after washed 50 times washing, so PPMaifanite functional fiber has a good absorption and bacteriostasis effect.
