    Self-assembly and Emulsifiable Behavior of PhotosensitiveP(FA2C-co-AA) Copolymer

    • Photo-sensitive amphiphilic copolymers P(FA2C-co-AA) was synthesized by free radical copolymerization of ε-caprolactonemodifiedacrylate-cinnamate (FA2C) with acrylic acid (AA) using 2,2′-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as free radical initiator in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF). Structures of the copolymers were characterized by FT-IR,GPC, DSC and UVVis techniques. The copolymers could be self-assembled in selective solvent DMF-H2O into nanomicelles. Stable nanomicelles were prepared by photocrosslinking of the micelles. Diameters of the micelles before and after crosslinking were studied by dynamic laser light scattering(DLS). Results show that the amphiphilic colloid particals have the efficient and stable emulsification properties.
