Abstract
To improve the compatibility of chitosan(CS) fiber with poly(L,Llactic acid)(PLLA), surface entrapment process was used to modify CS fiber with PDLLA oligomer. Then, the composites of CS fiber before and after entrapment process and PLLA were prepared by molding press. The compatibility of CS fiber with PLLA was studied. Results show that PDLLA is entrapped on the surface of CS fiber, and the morphology of the fiber is perfect after the entrapment process. The interfacial cohesion and consistence between CS fiber after entrapment process and PLLA matrix are improved. CS fiber after entrapment process could enhance the bend properties of composites.
