    Synthesis and Properties of Poly(N,N′-p-benzoquinonediimine-co-pyridine)and Poly(2,5-dimethylN,N′-p-benzoquinonediimine-co-pyridine) by Metal Complexes Catalyzed

    • Direct C-N coupling between N,N′-pbenzoquinonediimine or 2,5-dimethylN,N′-p-benzoquinonediimine and 2,5-oxazole pyridine Grignard reagent with nickel (II) complex as catalyst was conducted for the preparation of the copolymer. The obtained two new copolymers were characterized by 1HNMR、FT-IR、 UVVis、XRD、cyclic voltammogram and galvanostatic chargedischarge. Results show that the copolymers have certain electrochemical activity and exhibite one redox peaks in the range of -1.0—2.0 V. The specific capacitances of poly(N,N′-p-benzoquinonediiminecopyridine) and poly(2,5-dimethyl-N,N′-p-benzoquinonediimine-co-pyridine) are 126 F/g and 63 F/g respectively.
