Abstract
The random copolymers based on methacrylate-hydroxyethyl methacrylate-poly(glycol) (MAA-HEMA-APEG) were synthesized by free radical solution polymerization. Then, using methoxysilane ether(KH560) as crosslinking agent, the anti-fog coatings were obtained by subsequent crosslinking reaction of the copolymers. The structures and thermal behaviors of the copolymers were characterized by means of Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy,Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H-NMR) spectrum and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC).The contact angle, water resistance, light transmittance and anti-fog performance of the coatings were also evaluated. Results show that when the n(MAA):n(HEMA):n(APEG)=2:8:0.1 and the mass fraction of KH560 is 5%,the coating has excellent hydrophilicity and water swelling resistance. Moreover, the light transmittance of the material is hardly affected.
