Progress in Interaction between Polymer Brushes and Biomolecules

    • Polymer brush is a structure with polymer chains attached with one end to a curved or planar surface. In recent years, with the development of polymer preparation methods and surface modification technology, the application range of polymer brush is continuously expanded.Relevant researches of polymer brush become one of the hotpots in the area of functional polymeric materials.Polymer brushes with unique structure and surface properties become suitable candidates in the application of biomolecule immobilization, protein separation, enzymatic catalyst and controlled drug delivery. In this review, the latest progress in interactions between polymer brushes and biomolecules is systematically described, and some possible directions for further research are forecasted.
