Abstract:
Poly(ε-caprolactone)natural bone powder (PCL-BP) composites with varying bone powder contents were prepared by meltblending method and characterized through mechanical, DSC, TGA, and surface wettability experiments. Results show that the tensile and flexural strength of PCL-BP composites increase at first and then decrease with the increasing of BP content. The surface wettability of PCLBP composites is improved by the addition of BP. Furthermore, the crystallization temperature of PCL-BP composites increases, while the melting enthalpy and thermal stability decrease.
