Abstract:
The PVA/PEG/Mg(OH)2 composites with different proportions of PEG and Mg(OH)2 were prepared by means of torque rheometer. The nonisothermal crystallization processes of the composites were investigated by DSC. The results show that the melt temperature of PVA decreases through the hydrogenbonding interactions between PVA and PEG matrix in the composites with the fedding of PEG. The possibility of thermal processing of PVA makes it possible to study the melt-crystallization behavior of the composite.
