    Preparation and Optical Properties of Nitro Polytrifluorostyrene

    • 摘要: 通过乳液聚合法制备聚三氟苯乙烯(PTFS),并使其与浓硫酸-浓硝酸的混酸反应,制备了一系列硝化率不同的硝化聚三氟苯乙烯(PTFS-NO2)。通过FT-IR和NMR研究了产物的化学结构及组成,通过DSC、TG研究了产物的热性能,并对PTFS-NO2薄膜的光学性能进行了表征。结果表明:聚合物的硝化率可以通过混酸比例及反应温度进行调节。同PTFS相比,PTFS-NO2的光学透明性和双折射率均有显著提高,其双折射率可以达到0.018 7。

       

      Abstract: Polytrifluorostyrene(PTFS) was prepared by emulsion polymerization, and then a series of nitro polytrifluorostyrenes (PTFS-NO2) with different nitrification rates were prepared, using the mixture of nitric acid and sulfuric acid as nitrating agents. The resultant polymers were characterized by FT-IR, NMR,DSC, TG etc. The optical properties of PTFS-NO2 thin films were also studied. Results show that the nitrification rates of the polymers can be adjusted by changing the ratio of mixed acids and reaction temperature. Comparing with PTFS, the PTFS-NO2 has a significant increase in both optical birefringence and light transmission. The birefringence of PTFS-NO2 can be as high as 0.018 7.
