Abstract:
An ethylenedioxy group substituted terthiophene derivative (3′, 4-ethylenedioxy2, 2′∶5′, 2″-terthiophene, TET) was synthesized via Stille reaction, and the related polythiophene derivatives (poly(3′, 4′-ethylenedioxy2, 2′∶5′, 2″-terthiophene), PTET) were obtained by oxidation polymerization with different dosage of FeCl3 as catalysts at 0—5 ℃. These polymers were characterized by UVVis、FT-IR GPC、CV、TEM and TGA analysis. The number average molecular weights (Mn) of these polymers are 3.4×103—3.6×103. These polymers exhibit good thermal stability with thermal decomposition temperatures above 110 ℃. UV-Vis spectroscopy indicates low bandgaps (2.05 eV) of these polymers, and the maximum absorption is 466—474 nm.
