Abstract:
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose grafting polycaprolactone diol (HPMC-g-PCL) was successfully synthesized using 4,4’-diphenylene methane diisocyanate (MDI) as grafting bridge. The structure of the product was characterized with FT-IR spectroscopy. The thermal properties of the product was tested with thermogravimetry analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results show that the rate of weight-lost of HPMC-g-PCL is decreased comparing with HPMC, and the thermal stability of HPMC-g-PCL is increased.
