    Swelling Behavior of An Ampholytic Hydrogel Containing Free Amino Acid Side ChainContaining Free Amino Acid Side Chain

    • 摘要: 合成了具有自由氨基酸侧链的两性水凝胶聚(ε-丙烯酰胺化-L-赖氨酸-co-丙烯酰胺)(P(εACRLLY-co-AM))。通过研究凝胶的溶胀度与pH、外加盐浓度间的关系,证实该凝胶具有显著的两性特征,在较宽的pH范围内(pH=4~10)处于等电点状态。溶胀动力学的研究表明,在相同pH下,不同组成的凝胶具有相似的溶胀动力学过程;不同pH下由于氨基酸的电离状态不同造成了溶胀动力学过程的不同。溶胀与消溶胀动力学行为的研究结果显示,凝胶消溶胀过程较溶胀过程存在滞后现象,其中碱性环境下的滞后更为明显。尿素的应用表明,凝胶在低pH环境下存在分子内及分子间氢键。

       

      Abstract: :An ampholytic hydrogel, P(ε-acrylic-L-lysine-co-acrylamide) (P(εACRLLY-co-AM)), containing free amino acid side chains is prepared. The hydrogel exhibits apparent ampholytic behavior and has a broad isoelectric point (pH=4~10) through researching the change of swelling degree of hydrogel with pH values and salts concentration. At the same pH, a series of hydrogels have the similar swelling kinetics behavior. However, the hydrogel has the different swelling processes in varied pH solution resulting from the different ionized states of amino acid. The swelling deswelling kinetics behavior of hydrogel shows a large hysteresis appeared in deswelling process in different pH solution cycles. The molecules of hydrogel has intra or inter hydrogen bonding in lower pH values by investigating the change of swelling degree of hydrogel in variation pH with urea concentration.
