Abstract:
The 25 mm thick epoxy resinglass micropheres porous composites were synthesized from modified epoxy resin and hollow glass microspheres for improving the sound absorption properties of thin plate material. The effect of process parameters on the underwater acoustic properties of epoxy resin-glass micropheres porous composites was studied. The sound reflection coefficient and sound absorption coefficient of epoxy resin-glass micropheres porous composite materials specimen were measured in the sound pulse tube. The experiment results of underwater acoustic tests indicate that the epoxy resin-glass micropheres porous composites are an excellent underwater sound absorption material. Underwater acoustic properties of the epoxy resin-glass micropheres porous composite material are affected by the process parameters such as the type and content of hollow glass microspheres, the type of curing agent, et al. Then, epoxy resin-glass micropheres porous composites with excellent underwater sound absorption properties at low frequency were prepared. Epoxy resin-glass micropheres porous composites of much better underwater acoustic properties can be obtained by regulating the process parameters.
